These are 2 lovely Victor Durand ribbed Amethyst Glass vases of the same style and size, but they are not quite a matching pair. One is slightly taller, measuring 6" high, with a 3 1/2" mouth, shoulder diameter of 5 3/4" and a slight swirl or curving of the ribbing at the mouth. The other vase is just under 6" tall, with a 3 5/8" mouth, a shoulder diameter of 5 7/8" and no curve or swirl of the ribs. These vases would have been produced between 1924 - 1931, and both are marked with a large 'V', the name 'DURAND' and the style and size numbers - 1986 and 6 - on the bottom using an aluminum pencil. Both vases are in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, with each showing slight rubbing of the high points on their bases.
