This is a lovely, spire-shaped sculptured paperweight by Robert L. Hamon (1925-2003). The paperweight, with 4 distinct sides and tapering to a rounded top, has an interior design of blue and pink multi-toned ribbons shaped like plants with bubbles, seemingly, floating in their midst. The paperweight measures approximately 4 5/8 inches tall by 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 inches per side, near the bottom, and weighs about 1 3/4 pounds. The piece is signed 'Robt. L. Hamon' under the edge of one side, etched with the date '1986' and has a Scott Depot studio tag on the bottom rim ...... $160.00

Mr. Hamon, who learned glassblowing from his father at the age of 10 and became known as the youngest maker of hand-blown chinmeys in the world at age 12, produced quality and unique glass objects for many years. All of Mr Hamon's works, be they marbles or paperweights or vases, were one-of-a-kind and, at age 75, Mr. Hamon continued to work in his Scott Depot studio seven days a week.
