This is a lovely, sloped rectangular shaped, sculptured paperweight by Robert L. Hamon (1925-2003). The paperweight, with 4 distinct sides and a slanted top, has an interior design of twisting turquoise and purple multi-toned ribbons surrounded with bubbles, seemingly, floating around the ribbons. The paperweight measures approximately 4 inches tall by 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 inches per side, and weighs about 1 1/2 pounds. The piece is signed 'Robt. L. Hamon' under the edge of the back(?) side and etched with the date '1986' in the center of the bottom ...... $175.00

Mr. Hamon, who learned glassblowing from his father at the age of 10 and became known as the youngest maker of hand-blown chinmeys in the world at age 12, produced quality and unique glass objects for many years. All of Mr Hamon's works, be they marbles or paperweights or vases, were one-of-a-kind and, at age 75, Mr. Hamon continued to work in his Scott Depot studio seven days a week.
